Would definitely stay again

Friends and I stayed at this hotel for a week over the 2009 Independence Day holiday. Hotel interior is beautiful. The rooms were clean and newly decorated. All staff members including housekeeping, concierge, and main desk were friendly and helpful. Inside the hotel are Starbucks, a deli, a sports bar, another restaurant, and Cure bar/restaurant. Prices are not cheap, but face it, you are in the tourist part of DC - nothing is cheap. The main Metro Central station is located beneath the Hyatt, so using the Metro is a breeze. Hotel is just blocks from Chinatown and some good restaurants and shopping. Fitness Club costs extra, but the Fitness Club pool is available free of charge to hotel guests.

Excellent

Beautiful surroundings, two gift shops, Starbucks, restaurants, pool, exercise room. Pay a little extra ($15), get a full breakfast buffet for everyone in the room. Right in the heart of DC. Walking distance to a lot of attractions. Take the metro and zip around in record time if you're tired of walking.

This is a very good hotel for anyone staying in the Washington DC downtown area who wants convenient access to the most popular tourist destinations. There is access to the Metro Center train station though the lobby. You can get to the Capitol, Arlington National Cemetery, the Smithsonian Institution museums, the National Mall, Reagan National Airport, and other popular destinations quickly and easily. There was some construction going on in the hallway leading to the station while I was there but it was no big deal. The White House, Ford's Theatre, and the National Portrait Gallery are within (for me anyway) easy walking distance. The restaurants are very good - I myself especially enjoyed the Grand Slam, a sports bar with food and many HD TVs showing various sports events. There is a brew pub across the street that is very good too. The hotel staff are friendly and efficient. I would definitely stay again.

I stayed here for two weeks on business and was very impressed. The staff was more polite and attentive than any other hotel I've ever stayed in. The location can't be beat and the lobby is very pretty. My only complaint is the TV's, but they worked so I guess that is all that matters.

not impressive

Hyatt was a pretty alright hotel, no pins for hooking up the laptop, the ones on the side of the table were not working, coffee and the creamer was no good, morning no hot water as the heating system broke down, one of my colleague had a similar experience as he booked online thru a website , I am beginning to think if they give out crappy rooms for cheap deals, no complimentary fitness facility and internet, had to pay for everything
