I don't like to be negative. I have written several positive reviews on this site and try to give an honest objective opinion,. I give any hotel and its personnel the benefit of the doubt. This hotel has great faciliities, rooms, and location. But it seems the management doesn't get it. The room was not ready at check in time, and the desk pesonnel acted simply like it was no big deal. They made no apologies for that and simply asked us to waiit until they could get it ready. The sports lounge / bar was manned by only one person who didn't even ackknowledge our prsence until we actuallly walked up to the counter and asked for service. The next morning the free breakfast was nice, but there were no tables that were clear. It's pretty clear that this hotel is understaffed., and the personnel need a refresher course in customer relations The management of this hotel gets an F for it's waste of a very nice hotel by adopting a policy of being penny wise and pound foolish in its personnel decsions. The only staff member who even smiled was a nice friendly Russian girl working the front desk when we checked out. They should fire the manager ,and promote her to that position. She seemed to be the only employee there who understands the basics of a service oriented business.
I now understand why this hotel charges your credit card at the time you make the reservation. Otherwise people would go elsewhere when they get treated like this upon arrival and thereafter.
Great place to stay!

This is one of the highlights of our trip. Alittle spendy but was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It has oversized rooms, with a separate sink in the bathroom and one outside the bathroom. When you are travelling with a family of 4 that is perfect. Don't pass up the family fun rooms in the lower level of the hotel. Fun for all! The pizza and pasta place in Tusayan is great too! Would stay here again. Breakfast could have been better, but was included with the room rate so....you get what you pay for!
Bad beds but everything else okay

The hotel itself is fine, and our room was upgraded upon arrival. The staff was friendly and courteous. The bed was uncomfortable enough that I'd pay $50 more per night to stay elsewhere. The free breakfast was so-so. There was a lot to choose from but not very tasty. The fresh fruit was good. You're paying for the location of this hotel, so if you're on a tight budget and can sleep on anything, then this hotel is fine. But if you really need a solid, comfortable night's sleep, then I'd recommend staying elsewhere and paying a little more. You don't want to start your vacation day out being tired and cranky.

Good, clean hotel right outside the south entrance to the Grand Canyon. Within walking distance of imax theater, shops and several restaurants. No room service. Hot tub is tiny - seats maybe four people. Sauna was small, but good. Exercise room had one tread mill and one elliptical in addition to some free weights. Not all blocks of rooms are connected to the main hotel, but they are close. A really great breakfast buffet was included with the stay. A little pricey, but I went Memorial Day weekend, which may have more to do with that than anything.
Not Too Bad

Nice location with lots to do. The particular bldh wing we were in was going through some upgrades & makeovers. Our room was very spacious, but we noticed lacked a few expected standards like:
* No DVD player in the room.
* No Refrigerator
Hotel:
* No real gym. They had a treadmill & some kind of multi-exercise machine. Not really a gym.
Other than that it was great. The breakfast buffet was great. There was plenty to do as far as activities, like a bowling alley, a sports bar w/ pool table and arcade for kids. The concierge was awesome, as he knew the place inside and out. He gave us alot of great tips for places to checkout on our motorcycles. Good time all around.
