Ok I have stayed at many hotels and motels and this is by far one if not THE worst place ever! We needed a place to stay for a week while we moved out of our military housing on base and there were no other places so we went there-when I checked in there were already 3 ppl in the office complaining,but it was 4th of July weekend and went ahead and signed in.The immediately over charged me the quoted price for two rooms.the place lies about having any kind of internet.I had 2 rooms nothing,it was dirty with cockroaches...my 14 yr old niece woke up in the morning with bugs crawling in her clothes.The beds were so uncomfortable and the fire alarm had been ripped out of the wall in one room and the door broken.Not even an ice machine was available,let alone anything else a guest may need.The people in the office especially one lady were extremely unhelpful or caring.After one night, we decided to take our chances of sleeping in the car if we had to and leave.I was feeling nauseous from the smell there, I think it was heavy duty roach spay all over-and I have a 5 yr old son,so I didn't want him to get sick either.We were willing to pay for the night we stayed but not a whole week and they would not refund us the extra they charged for the time we would not even be there.We asked to talk to a manager and they said they didn't care,so we are going to have to get the army and/or file a suit now.MY advice stay away from this cockroach infested rat trap dump or you will be so sorry!!!!!

When we stayed here, we had what is perhaps the single most disturbing experience ever at a hotel. While checking in with my wife and 13 month old son, two men brought in from outside an argument -- evidently about a drug deal!! Profanties and shouting flew, one man clearly on something. The climax was one man telling the other that he would "f*** you up in front of this baby", meaning my son! This, of course, had us fearing for our safety. What was even more shocking was that the manager on duty ignored all of this, continuing to check us in as if this was an everyday occurrence! It certainly isn't for us. What if these men had been armed? To say the least, no matter how comfortable the beds could have been, we wouldn't have slept well. I have NEVER felt unsafe at a brand name hotel before. What is going on at this place? We've been soured on Econo Lodge permanently as a result, and we'll make sure none of our family and friends stay there in Manchester.
