Clean room, great location, excellent for a family of five. Just steps away from the river and dining. We did not make the coctail hour but did have the free breakfast served in the morning. They had a great variety for the family including cereals, fruit, eggs, juices, coffee, hot chocolate for the kids and you could also have them make a custom omelet to your liking. The staff was friendly and helpful. We valet our vehicle for the convienience, I do think the $25 charge for valet is ridiculous though. Overall, we would definately stay here again.

I would definetly stay here again. Rooms were clean and not worn out at all. The only problems I have was 1) the coffee pot itself was broke but quickly replaced in less that 10 minutes and 2) both out phones (desk and cordless) didn't work and when requested to be fixed they never were so I was unable to speak with hotel staff from room had to go to lobby to make requests. Other than those two minor things grea stay. The free breakfast every morning was also surprisingly good food. Good cost of room as well.
Go to Joe's Crab shake across the street very good but a little pricey

Good place to stay. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Good location right on the Sacramento River next to Old Sacramento.
Good hotel for the money

Great location, across the street from old town, you can walk there from the hotel. Good breakfast. Got type of room we asked for, it was ready when we checked in. All staff we encountered was friendly and helpful, we would stay there again. Stayed for one night - August 12, 2008. Tried to stay for one night a week later, but they were sold out. This will tell you what kind of hotel this is - everyone want to stay there.

Lovely open public areas. Location along the river is wonderful, easy walk to Old Sac, Crocker Art Museum.Large, clean rooms; very helpful staff
