If you want to explore Old San Juan, this is a good base. Rooms clean, staff friendly, check-in after 3:00pm. If you have a car, parking is $18 per day. I would stay there again.
Decent place to stay

The location was great for shopping and dining. Not close to a beach, you would need transportation. The staff was friendly, room clean and quiet.

truly a disappointment; don't believe the photos ? they make it look great - it's in fact rather shabby; it claims it's a new hotel but it's really a refurbished hotel. The elevators looked 10 years old, with paint chipping off the numbers. the pool area was unattractive and small; they tag on a charge for delivery to the pool area). the lobby is very loud because of the super cheap tacky casino room which is right next to it - another example of 'cheap' Caribbean 'casino' hotel. This is a 3 star hotel - not a 4 star.

The suite was roomy and comfortable, there was a balcony, and the bed was comfortable, with pillows to melt into. The location was perfect for walking around Old San Juan, and the personnel were helpful.
