Quote: A gorgeous Craftsmen style hotel on the el! The staff were fantastic, especially the evening front desk staff and the Bellmen. The location is perfect convenient to everything and the neighborhood felt safe even in the evening. We had a room in the... Read the full The Silversmith Hotel review

This hotel was very convenient

Quote: The hotel was very convenient for utilizing the "L" and going to Millineum Park. It is in a very good location. The only issue would be if you got a room that was right next to the subway tracks.

Great hotel but a bit pricey.

Quote: We stayed at the Silversmith 4th of July weekend, and we loved it. It is in the loop so it's a bit of a walk to get to the Magnificent Mile, but a nice walk in warm weather. It is really close to the parks, which is great with warm weather. There... Read the full The Silversmith Hotel review

Quote: I enjoyed my accomodations at the Silversmith Hotel. Located in the jewelry district of downtown, and only a short walk from the L, the subway and multiple bus stops, the Silversmith was a great location to stay at for a modest price. Some reviews... Historic inn in the heart of the Loop--clean but no frills.

Quote: Be sure to ask for a room away from the EL or you will hear trains go by every 15 minutes. We so requested and our stay was pleasant. Historic inn, remodeled, clean but no frills. Convenient to many tourist attractions since in the heart of the Loop.
