Absolutely awful - avoid!

Horribly rude front desk. Demanded to see photo ID on check-in and began to argue when I asked why. Facilities are just plain old and worn, not "historic." They turned off the water at midnight but didn't put any bottled water in the room, so there was no way to get a drink. The dark, dated restaurant should be on Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. My OJ never did arrive, and the breakfast food took 25 minutes from order, then came with a strong helping of 'tude when it was noted that the kitchen had messed it up. The waiter clearly disliked his job. Housekeeping was asked to come at 8am but came at 7am instead, then again at 7.30, waking me up. Housekeeping was asked to add a chair to the rooms and prepare the table for interviews but they did not. They kicked the group out of our suite at 5pm and "reassigned" us to a hot, unairconditioned room. The only thing that went right is that the cab they called arrived on time--and the driver then ripped us off. My worst stay in any hotel since 2002, and I've been to 55 countries since then. This is the only hotel in downtown Princeton (though there are many others nearby), and they act like the out-of-touch monopoly they are.

Great hotel on the door step of Princeton

I was wary of booking the room because of the affordable price and a bad review from a German visitor, but I was happily surprised at how good it was. Excellent location in the heart of Princeton, walking distance to restaurants and the university, clean room, great price. The place to stay if you are coming to Princeton for business.

Beware rip-off

I'm travelling a lot, but this hotel was my worst experience so far. Rooms are not especially nice but the best came upon check out when they wanted to charge an outraging $* - then reduced to $* - for total 66 min of phone calls to Europe (which normally goes for some $*). There is no price list in the room - mind that trap !That's their "uncompromised standard of hospitality" and customer service !

Poor Service!

We booked a guaranteed suite. When we arrived @5:00PM, it took some time for them to find us a room. When we returned the next day @ 5:00PM our room had not been cleaned. After complaining to the manager, we got it done. The bathroom was very small, and the living area was unattractive, especially do to the placement of a CD player on the wall with exposed wires trailing down to the floor.

Our visit at the Nassau Inn

My wife Cami and I recently had a most memorable visit at the NI. First I would like to commend the manager. She went out of her way to make sure that our stay was a pleasant one. X, who was at the desk when we arrived, looked professional, was courteous and remembered our names as did X. We loved the ambiance, especially the area with the beautiful red leather chairs. The Inn oozes with history, parking was incredible easy, the location could not be better for anyone who has any reason to visit Princeton. Our stay at the Inn made our visit a most memorable one.
