Hopes for better water

The White Swan is a great hotel. We have stayed there twice and both times I'm only dismayed by the smell and the color of the water that comes from the faucets in our rooms. It smells like sewer water. Everyone knows you cannot drink it and you really don't want to bath in it either. Also, the last two times we have stayed there we have come down with food poisoning - not necessarily from the White Swan itself as we had several meals elsewhere on the island. Not sure I want to visit again.

Five-star Hotel, with indoor waterfall falling into a koi pond, level of high-end gift shops, several levels of restaurants, two swimming pools, looks out over the Pearl River, noticed many Western couples picking up adopted Chinese babies here.
