Full Service Hotel: LOL

The description of this hotel is full service...there is nothing full service about this hotel. This hotel is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. I travel over 200 nights each year, I have seen some really bad hotels and this one is in my top 5. The hotel is gross, smells, old, and the best part of my stay was leaving! This hotel should be shut down! Ithaca, this is not your best!

no way, not ever again

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. No lie, no long stories, just please stay anywhere else in ithaca but this hotel. You will regret every moment of your stay. The only nice part of the hotel is the lobby! They trick you to thinking it is a nice place but NO WAY.

College town Hotel

The Clarion Hotel on Sheraton Drive in Ithaca turned out to be a great surprise. It is directly across from the Pyramid Mall, which provided us with easy access to College needs shopping. The drive to Ithaca College is an easy 15 or 20 minutes, depending on the Ithaca (downtown) traffic. Beautiful vista of Cayuga Lake as you drive down into the town. The Clarion rooms were clean, and efficient. The free breakfast was plentiful. The front desk staff was great. We had all our questions answered with regards to car travel in the area. Very friendly, knowledgable staff. Location of the hotel probably was the best part because of our specific needs to do College Dorm supplies shopping. Target and other great stores are right across the road.

Avoid at all costs

Knew we were in trouble when arriving late at night and only two cars were in parking lot. Entry carpets dirty. Checkin staff helpful but acknowledged that this was not the best hotel. Room was tolerable so we stayed first night. Returning the next afternoon we found room only half made, pillows on ground, comforter on ground, trash still in bathroom, etc. No manager on duty that day. No housekeeping supervisor. Staff got defensive. We left for a much superior Holiday Inn. Also, exterior very ugly, bar only open on weekends. Neighborhood going downhill, nothing to walk to.

Our Stay

It was a college family week-end and maybe hotel prices were a bit higher than usual but we felt that for the money we paid the accomodations could have been much much better. We had a rusty fridge sitting on a table top in the room and the bathroom door stuck. As you walked the corridors there were mattresses stuffed here and there. All in all we would avoid staying at this particular hotel in the future.
