Description: The Westin was a nice place to stay in Savannah. We had a nice view of the river and city. The opposite side has a view of the golf course. The rooms were nice and comfortable, with Westin's signature bedding and showers. The location was especially convenient since I was attending a conference in the conference center next door.
This is the only hotel on Hutchinson Island. There is a ferry that goes across the river to town that runs about every 20 to 30 minutes. They increased ferry runs as they noticed the high conference traffic. Unfortunately, the ferry had stopped at about 10pm, so we had to get a cab back to the hotel on the nights we wanted to stay out - this was about $9 from the area where most of the bars are, which would add up quickly if you wanted to do it several nights. If you're not attending a conference and want to stay out past 10pm, I wouldn't recommend the Westin due to this inconvenience.
We didn't take advantage of the resort amenities, including the Greenbrier Spa, a pool, a golf course, etc.
