Great week in Vegas

We always stay at the Plaza when in Vegas. For the price, this is a great place. Yes, the carpet was stained, the wallpaper was peeling in a few places and the bed was hard. I thought it was comfy, but my wife did not. On the positive side, the room was large and quiet. The housekeeping staff did a great job, we requested extra pillows and towels and were brought up in 5 minutes. The other bummer was no coffee maker in room. If you are expecting to be pampered in luxury, or are looking for a romantic hotel go to another place. If you want a basic place to sleep and save your money for fun things, the Plaza is GREAT.

I stayed at the Plaza Hotel in Vegas for 5 weekdays. The hotel was absolutely Full because of the NASCAR convention and others, but insteqad of shuffleing me to another hotel, they put me up in the 25th floor suite for 5 days!
It's certainly not the Bellagio with their * rooms, but it was clean, quiet and nice. You can't ask for more than that on Fremont Street.

Will definitely stay again if price is right. Staff was very positive, helpful and caring while checking in and out and arranging airport transportation. From our room had great view of Las Vegas Blvd. Our room was clean and air conditioning worked great.
A+ Great Hotel for the money

I stayed there last May and loved it. The staff was very helpfull and friendly. Upon check-in I asked for a Freemont Street view and they were very happy to give me the best room they had with a great room with a view under the canopy on Freemont. Granted it is not the Hilton But I stayed there a week and only paid $$$ for my Flight and Hotel. I am going back in December and will stay at the Plaza.

Oh what a huge disappointment! My husband and I flew to Vegas for my nieces wedding, 08-08-08, she was married at the Little Church of the West, as was my sister and myself. We chose to stay at the Plaza because we honeymooned there, even though all of the wedding party stayed at another hotel.
The check in process was a breeze, early afternoon in the middle of the week. Our first problem occurred around 9pm when our room keys would not work. The line at the desk was 30 deep and no one would help us unless we stood in the line 55 minutes. We finally gained access to OUR room and were told there was no manager to speak with until the morning. It took 3 days before I spoke with a manager who offered nothing more than a meager apology, for the fact that everytime we returned after 5pm we could not get into our room without the key being reprogrammed. What happened to customer satisfaction? Maybe a cheap breakfast comp? Fruit basket? Gone are the days of customer gratification.
The room was dingy and old. The furniture was mismatched, the tv was ancient, the clock radio did not work, and the lamp had no place to be plugged into. I made the mistake of placing items above the clothes rack, when removed they were filthy. The shower barely dribbled water and the tub was small, old and stained.
The pool was small as always, the hot tub did not work and there was no gym as advertised. The gym and spa is a big deal breaker for my husband.
Oh what a huge disappointment!!!. A great piece of history is falling into disrepair. I wish someone cared, just a little.
