we don't come to vegas for the glitz and glamour. just ordinary blue collars looking for some fun and good times. been to vegas 12 times, stayed on the strip 10 of them. last 2 at the plaza. was there in august 2007 and february 2008. coming again in april 2009 and bringing the whole family in 2010. and yes, we are staying at the plaza. would'nt want to stay anywhere else. the plaza is las vegas!!! she's warm and inviting and friendly. our rooms have always been clean and comfortable. considering her age, i wouldn't expect anything more. the staff have always been friendly and courtious. i find the hotels on the strip to be over priced, over glitzed, and over rated. don't have gold embossed linens on my table at home, wouldn't want it in vegas either. my sister is disabled, ant the ease of getting to the gaming floor is appreciated. hop in an elevator, and the doors open and your there. and the comps have been over the top. stayed 5 nights, we only paid for 1 meal our 1st night there. comps are figured on your amount of play, (but what do we come to vegas for anyway?) i love the plaza, and i don't want her torn down and rebuilt to look like or be like everyone else. when i first came to vegas 17 years ago, i fell in love with VEGAS. OLD VEGAS. all the old casinos are almost gone, and with it, the sense of what vegas was. i have a preceived notion of what vegas should be, and the PLAZA is it!!! i'm bringing my daughter and boyfriend out for their first time, we will visit the strip; but we'll staying downtown at the PLAZA! GOD BLESS HER old soul.

Recent stay after the New Year, with family and I have to say I've had better service from this hotel. I travel to Vegas two times a year and have come to realize that your hotel room for most of us is just a place to crash. Sight seeing, gambling, and all that take your time, you come to your room for sleep, and that's about it. This time, when at the Plaza for the second time this year, I was dissapointed. Wallpaper was peeling off, toilet didn't work without MY repairs, the second room, my parents had, the sink was stopped up, and the same was with the wall paper. The room was clean and always made up while we were away, but the repairs are needed, and should really be done soon! I won't be staying here again until there are repairs made and confirmed. Most other places on Fremont are remodeled, I wish the Plaza would follow suit!

hotel,excelant,service,excelant, would recomend highly

This one of the older casino's in Vegas, but was obviously a good one in it's hay day. Our room was clean and smoke free (we asked for a smoke free room). The bathroom was clean and the water was hot. Food was good at the buffet. The casino floor was smoky, but we had expected that. We liked being on Freemont, less walking and interesting in the evenings. We'll stay here again in the future
