A Week in London

I stayed at the K&K while in London on business, and found it to be a great option. Very handy to the Tube, with loads of dining options nearby, and easy enough to take the Picadilly line from Heathrow, even with luggage. Hotel was very clean and comfortable, rooms were small (although aren't they all in London), with a little fridge and a kettle. The bathrooms were modern & spotless, there was free internet access, and a nice garden out the back, which contributed to a pleasant stay. Front desk staff were extremely helpful.

Met my expectations

Booked a single room - it was small but enough room for one person and bed was comfortable. Gardens outside were pretty and well maintained, a nice place to get some fresh air. Neighborhood felt very safe. A short walk to the tube station made the hotel's location convenient for getting around the city. Staff was very friendly, I really liked that you could borrow nice umbrellas during your stay for the lovely rainy London weather. Some challenges with the wireless internet, either slow or couldn't connect, but the wired cable for access within the room worked great!

Rahter nice but far from perfect

Hotels in London have become very expensive. This one is no exception, although it is a rather nice place. But 12 Pounds per person for breakfast is ridiculous. And the rooms, especially the single rooms (we had booked one single and one double) are small. The location of the hotel is good: not very central, but in a quiet back street and yet very near the Earl's Court tube station where one can catch a Circle Line or a District Line train as well as the Piccadilly Line. Some of the staff were very friendly and helpul, others far less so. One receptionist even refused to book a table in a restaurant. And one day one of the rooms was not made up, although there would have been plenty of time. (We were absent from 10 am till 4 pm.) At least the person in charge presented her excuses. It's possible that we would stay in the hotel again provided we find a good deal in the internet.

My wife and I were only going to be in town 1 day. We hadn't been in the Earl's Court area before, but we had a next day flight out of Heathrow. The hotel location was within 5 minutes walk to the tube. The staff was very helpful in suggesting sights to see within walking distance. However, all modes of tranportation are readily available. The are also many reasturants with all price ranges within close proximity. So if the price of the breakfest in the hotel is not to your liking, there are other options.

Great!

After traveling to a few different hotels, I found this one to be very accomodating. Customer service was great and the room was bigger compared to many in Europe. The only thing that could have been an issue was confirming if breakfast comes with the price you pay. When we arrived they initially told us that the breakfast was not included. But, because I checked ahead of time and printed out the confirmation e-mail, they accepted it. So, confirm everything in writing and bring it with you.
