Red Elephant lodge is a beautiful peaceful place to be if you want to enjoy your safari in the Tsavo East National park. The Lodge is just situated about 1km from the entrance gate of the park and also shares a fence with the national park, therefore making it possible for guest to view the animals even from the comfort of the lodges premises.
On arrival we were welcomed by the staffs with a refreshing glass of juice and cool minted face wipes. We stayed at the Bush-House rooms, which had a direct view into the national park and were fortunate to see the elephants coming to drink from the water hole nearby.
The pool was not that big but was grateful to be in after a hot day of safari and it’s also a quiet place to read and relax.
In the night we had our dinner around the camp fire and the buffet had a variety of local and continental dishes. In general it was a pleasant experience staying there and the staffs were so helpful and friendly.
