Beautiful Bradenton Beach

A travel journal to Bradenton Beach by MSJ

A totally relaxing beach vacation

  • 3 reviews
Fishing, boating, sightseeing, and shopping. Some of our favorite things are visiting Tarpon Springs, a Greek fishing village. We also like to take our kids deep sea fishing.

Quick Tips:

Easy to get around and very central to lots of things to see and do.

Best Way To Get Around:

There is a free trolley that will take you from one end of the island to the other.
Best Things Nearby:
Great beach, near Sarasota and St. Petersburg.

Best Things About the Resort:
Right on the beach, this is a very relaxing place and always lots of children to make friends with.

Resort Experience:
We love the fact that Via Roma is small and compact. The rooms are adequate (though only 1 bath) but the view is terrific and the set up with the pool and beach beside one another is really terrific. We have always enjoyed the company of other vacationers and because it is small, you can really get to know and enjoy your neighbors during your stay.

Anna Maria City Pier DiningBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Anna Maria City Pier"

This restaurant is located at the end of Anna Maria Island out on the city fishing pier. While dining on great grouper, crab cakes or other seafood specialties you can watch fishermen and women outside the windows fishing - we saw someone catch a shark! They also have a selection of meat for non-fish lovers and a children's menu. If you don't want to wait, get there early, but if you are there later in the evening, you can relax outside and enjoy local entertainment or shop for locally made jewellery items.
