Victoria, a little piece of england?

Overview

Quote:
Drink coffee in Bastion Square, enjoy the sun and the view, and finally your mind can go blank, or at least slow down to the pace of the locals.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

THere is no great hurry so you can walk at your own pace, and as it is a small town, everything is in walking distance. If you decide to visit one of the lakes, drive, everyone drives.

A great place to start your morning with a perfect caffe latte and a croissant. Come back for lunch, pasta or a panino is under $5 cdn. Paradiso serves alcohol, which can be enjoyed in the sun, or you can have some homemade gelati....Delicioso!

Zambri's

Restaurant

Cheap authentic italian food, with specials changing daily. One of few good italian restaurants in Victoria...they also ,make good homemade tiramisu. Only open until 7pm. More of a lunch or early dinner place, can also take out.

Crystal Garden

Attraction

Quote:
This tropical garden is downtown, but many people overlook it when visiting Victoria, although it is close to the harbour, the museum, and the totem poles. There are butterflies, parrots, and even golden lion tamarinds, along with over 200 species of plants. Crystal Garden just celebrated its 75th anniversary, originally a tea room, heated indoor saltwater pool, and community centre, and is as much an historical site as a ecological one.
