KL is a friendly city with shopping, eating out, and enjoying life as the top priorities of the local people. The city are not as "commercial" as their neighbours, Singapore.
The KL Bird Park and Butterfly Park were good outings for the children who especially enjoyed feeding the fish. The bird shows were impactful.
The Menara Tower was a great place to visit and the view from the 75th floor, as well as the recorded commentary, proved to be truly memorable. The "birds eye" view of KL was great.
A day trip to Genting Highlands felt inadequate...one needs to be there for at least 2 days to do any justice to the Indoor and Outdoor Theme Parks.
The shopping malls in KL were great with Mega Mall being our favorite. "Annalakshmi," a fantastic vegetarian restaurant is located there. "Eat as you like....Pay as you like" being their philosophy to promote vegetaranianism. Chinatown on Petaling Street and "My Din" chain stores offer some good deals.
We, however, enjoyed shopping at "Carrefour."
