The hotel has a beautiful location right on the beach. But the service is not as good as would be expected from a luxury hotel.

Excellent location bang on the Marine drive. Views are superb and service unmatched. The Annexe which is a newer addition to the old tower has some very nice restaurants frequented by top politicians. Bill Clinton stayed at the Oberoi on his official visit to India as President of USA.

The Building of this Hotel is Imposing and is built on the lines of old palaces of the indian empire. The hotel offers some excellent indian cuisine in "Peshwa" its speciality restaurant. One should samplke the late night buffet, which is quite affordable and has some excellent Biryani (Rice preparation with a combination of mutton or chicken or vegetables cooked with spices)

This is the latest entrant into the list of luxury hotels. Its proximity to the airport is its USP. It has been attracting crowds eager to try a new offering. The hotel is owned by the ITC group which is also the largest cigarette manufacturing organisation in India.

Great Value for money. This is a unique boutique hotel managed by the owners of a leading chain og fine dining restaurants.

The 3 floors in this hotel are based on three different themes. Scandinavian, Mediteranean and Country cottage themes.

The Coffee Shop is really worth visiting even if one is not staying there.

Fire & Ice

It is located in a run down textile mill compound. Although the locality might look decrepit, the place is frequented by the gliteratti.

The best days to visit are the weekends when the crowds converge to the floor and the place is jampacked.

People who prefer to dance in smaller crowds may visit during weekdays (Wednesday & Thursday) when the college-going kids prefer visiting.

Stags (single men or men in groups) are not permitted. The bouncers are tough and unyielding.

The drinks are available in plenty.

By Air : Mumbai is well connected to all major international cities, as well as places within India. Most major airlines touch down here. The international airport complex (Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport also known as Sahar Airport) has one terminal exclusively for Air India flights, and the other for all of the other airlines. The customs checks are tedious. Once at the airport, The ITDC counter can be contacted for information on hotels. The domestic airport at Santacruz (also known as Chatrapati Shivaji Domestic airport), is about five km away from the international terminus. Moving from the internationa...Read More

You can buy lots of things in Colaba: T-shirts, crystals, curios, and frilly frocks for newborn babies. Navy Nagar, the Indian navy's bastion is worth a walk. Visit the Afghan Church, a memorial built for those who fell in the Afghan war. Further south the quieter smaller busier Roman Catholic church of St Joseph is really beautiful and peaceful.
