All I've got to say is WOW. Our suite was awesome with a fireplace and our very own refillable hot tub surrounded by trees.

The Soak

Overview

This is great if you're a local of the area...they give locals discounts. If you're not, the price range can get a little steep. The best part was being able to hike up the hill to one of the numerous Redwood tubs that Sycamore Springs (Resort?) offers.

Quick Tips:

At .50 an hour you can't go wrong. Rent a hot tub for an hour and bring a bottle of wine to Sycamore Springs. It's cheap but you need to book a couple days in advance. It's also free between the hours of midnight and seven in the morning.

Best Way To Get Around:

You need to drive there :-(
I don't eat a lot of meat, but I sure like a good steak every once in a while. There's a lot of dead stuff hanging on the walls but go into the saloon and listen to the guitarist/singer and have a Firestone Ale. They start you off with onion rings and every dinner includes bread, potatoes, baked beans, and dessert. I guarantee you will not leave here remotely hungry. I recommend the pepper steak...you go!!

This place was cool. Cheaper than other vineyards in the area (Firestone costs $7 to taste there) Foxen only costs $3. The pourers were unpretentious unlike some of the other places we went - you can go in jeans and a T-shirt to taste great wine. If you like a good cabernet sauv...they've got it. The drive out there seems to take forever but sit back and enjoy the scenery!! Plus, you get to keep the glasses and the pourers aren't stingy.
