A January 2002 trip

Quote: We spent two weeks at this lovely timesharing resort with only one aim -- to lie on the beach, swim in the Caribbean and eat wonderful food.

The resort has recently added more units on the back side and is expanding a little more. There is plenty of open beach and there is an exceptionally nice and large swimming pool. The several beach areas have lots of chises and umbrellas as well as palapas. On the front beach there is a beach bar which serves drinks and simple meals all day long. If you like bingo, they have it twice weekly at the bar - it's a nuisance to us old folks who like to rest but many do enjoy it and it lasts only about an hour. There is a welcoming breakfast every monday morning, a pool party on Tuesdays with service of grilled chicken or ribs for about $10-12, together with music by King BoBo, a local favorite who plays calypso music.
There are generally five or six deserts such a cakes and key lime pie and chocolate mousse and a large selection of fruit and some cheese. The buffet is a favorite of the tourists and the open air room, with a roof, facing the harbor is always full. The hostess is in charge of organizing the food line by table and she is very efficient at it. This is truly a wonderful place to go with friends, but not if you or they are on a diet.
