Beaumont has plenty of arts, entertainment, casinos, dining, festivals and historical sites. Tthe Art Museum of Southeast Texas is a great start. What I enjoy the most is the Jefferson Theater. The section of Fannin Street that houses the Jefferson Theater now bears the name "George Jones Place." It was renamed in honor of the legendary country singer, George Jones, who began his career in this theater. You can catch the Charlie Pruitt show here and listen to local talent. You can even catch a play by the Beaumont Community Players.
