It's Heat Stroke-tastic!

Overview

Quote:
Walking along the Strip is the best thing to do. Duck in and out of the casinos as you walk by (as a bonus, you get a free blast of air conditioning everytime you go inside). Try to stay at a half-decent hotel. My friends that stayed at really cheap hotels hated their whole trip, probably on account of the lousy hotel. in Vegas gets you a great hotel, especially compared to New York or San Francisco.

Quick Tips:

Don't go in July or August, because it's too hot!!!

Best Way To Get Around:

Walk or take the free monorails up the Strip. Take a bus to Fremont Street.

Great room, with a king-sized bed. Very clean, with a neo-classic atmosphere. Huge bathroom. Our room overlooked the Strip (and the roller coaster).

You get what you pay for. Although our fairly good-sized room (it had two queen-sized beds) was only $49 a night, the hotel is beginning to look its age. The hallways weren't air-conditioned, and the lobby was chaotic. And you have to get used to the colour pink. Lots of (screaming) kids in this hotel. It is a bargain, but it isn't a first-class hotel.

For $59 a night, the Excalibur is an excellent deal. The hotel is less than ten years old, so it's still in pretty good shape. It's in a great location, beside the Luxor, MGM Grand, and New York, New York.

The hotel is pretty huge, and lots of families stay here, so be forewarned that there will be lots of kids running around. The pool area is always pretty full.

The rooms were large (two queen-sized beds), and we had a nice view of the Strip.

If you don't mind kids, this is a great bargain.
