Bus tour from Sydney to Canberra the Capital of Australia. This tour left Sydney at 8:30 AM and returned about 9PM. Lots of scenery. Saw some wildlife. On the way there was a stop at a small town called Berrima. It is a quant tow. There happended to a nice flea market there that day. On the way back, we stopped in Goulburn for dinner and a look in the Merino Wool Shop. Cost $117 AUD

Hearing the history od the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and how the city of Canberra was desinged and constructed. It was designed by a Chicago firm. The designer, Burley Griifin, was a disciple of Frank Lyold Wright. As a tribute to Griffin a man-made lake was named after him.

This tour was by Grayline and offered by most of the bus tour companies. There is an overnight version where you stay overnight in Canberra.

Big Merino
This is a cafeteria style restaurant that is part of a truck stop next to the Big Merino Gift Shop. One of the specials is a Merino Burger. There was also a Pub there. Food was excellent and served fast. This is good, inexpensive, quick eating place. No atmospher its a trck stop, but good food! Visit the gift shop next door.
