Another Trip to Amsterdam

Since I have been back to Amsterdam, my original reasons for going have changed. No longer do I wander the Red Light District and visit as many coffeeshops as possible. Amsterdam in my opinion is one of the cheaper more places to party in Europe. If clubbing is your thing, you must check out the following places.

There are plenty of cheap accommodations in Downtown. Two of my favorite are:

The Bulldog Hotel and The Flying Pig. Both of these places are very popular so make sure to book either of these places ahead of time.

Best Way To Get Around:

From what I hear Amsterdam has excellent public transportation. The only thing is, besides the buses it is nowhere to be seen. The only way to truly see everything is to hoof it, just remember to bring your most comfortable shoes.

The accommodations were minimal. I stayed in a rather large dormitory, with about 16 beds. I have stayed in many hostels and I have to admit that their matresses and pillows are the most comfortable that I have ever slept on. As far as the rest of the hostel, you get one token for hot water per day you stay, which gives you 8 minutes of hot water. But don''t worry, you can buy additional tokens.

You never know quite what to expect from this place. One night its like you are at a Dragshow/massage parlour/resturant, other nights its like you walked on to Arabian Nights. If you are looking for a show to go along with you dinner, then this is the place. But make sure to bring a load of cash. It will cost you at least 100 guilder to get out of here. But don't worry, it will be well worth it.
