There is a plaque onsite that explains that there were several donors who made this artistic sculpture to the community happen- and it's mostly made of concrete. It's quite large, and is surrounded by mostly sand/dirt. I visited this troll on11/8/13 and someone had spray-painted his knuckles with "Thug Life". It's actually pretty ironic and fitting for such a Seattle landmark. On the bridge support across from him, the same graffiti artist also painted "Tupac died for your sins". Ahhh Seattle- so weird, and so perfect.

Attraction | "Lush and FREE!"

I love that Washington's arboretum is free! It's basically just like a really awesome public park that gets maintained and manicured. We took the dogs there, and they have a great time sniffing around the foliage. I went in November, and the color-changing leaves are truly beautiful! Not to mention the overwhelming size of all the forestry. It's pretty big- and easy to get lost in- but you can eventually get your bearings once you see the main streets surrounding the park.
