We had decided to avoid motorways for the whole of this journey from Pula to Ogulin and this entailed us taking the slow journey up and over the mountains. I was expecting some decent views but not the hidden treasure of a water fountain. To be honest the choice wasn’t difficult and we headed for the Hotel Frankopan, which was just opposite our hotel and overlooking the main town square. When we entered I thought we were in for an up market meal at upmarket prices but having got hold of the menu I was more than pleasantly surprised at the cost of the main courses. The waitresses were very smartly attired and although communication was a little difficult there was at least a section of the menu that was in English. The waitress that was serving us must ha...Read More
