Funny Girls Show Bar

Attraction | "Funny Funny Girls"

Quote:
Funny Girl's is a cabaret bar and night club in Blackpool that is famous for its drag queen stars. It is the longest running show in Blackpool and is very popular, particularly with hen dos. We went for the first time a few weeks ago.I had heard so much about it but wasn't really sure what to expect. We went on a Friday night and we paid £5 each to get in. The entry price varies from day to day and depends on whether there is a special show (for example the summer extravaganza or the Christmas themed shows). The club is located in the centre of town and there are lots of other bars around if you want to have a few drinks elsewhere before you head in. The club is more like a the...Read More

I have been to Blackpool Zoo a few times over the years and it has got considerably better in that time. It isn't the biggest zoo in the world by a long shot, but it is a very pleasant place to walk around and they have a great selection of animals. The zoo is open everyday from around 10am until 6pm and last entry is 45 minutes before the zoo closes. Entry is a bit steep at £15.50 per adult and £11 per children. Better value is a family ticket that costs £48 for two adults and two children. You can save 10% on these prices if you book your ticket online before you visit. There is plenty of onsite parking but you have to pay for it, I think it is about £5 per day which is really annoying a...Read More

I should start this review by saying that I am not big on gambling. I prefer to go and people watch than to take part myself. Having said that I do like spend an evening out at the Grosvenor Casino in Blackpool because it makes for a nice chilled out evening in pleasant surroundings, with good service. The casino is located on the promenade in Blackpool near to the Pleasure Beach and it has a limited amount of free on site parking. It is open 24 hours a day and you need to be a member to enter. Becoming a member is not difficult though because you just need to take either your passport or your driving license on the day you visit and they'll sign you up.The whole place has a chi...Read More

Story/Tip

Blackpool Tower from the Air Photo, Blackpool, England

Blackpool has an awful lot of attractions to keep you entertained but here are the five that I really think you should consider if you are heading that way.===Blackpool Tower===This quite clearly has to be top of the list as it is arguably the most famous thing about Blackpool. It isn't cheap to get in, but there is plenty to do when you get there. Tickets cost £30 for a day pass, but you will get entry into the tower, the world famous Tower Ballroom (which has been home to Strictly Come Dancing), the brand new Tower Dungeons, the Blackpool Tower Circus and the extremely popular children's play area Jungle Jim's. For your £30 you will definitely get a full days entertainment, s...Read More

Coral Island

Attraction | "Island of Fun"

Quote:
My parents live in Blackpool and whenever we visit, we usually go for a walk down the promenade that inevitably ends up with use being in Coral Island. Coral Island is one of the very many arcade places in Blackpool but in my opinion it is the best.Coral Island is located on the promenade very near to the tower and to Central Pier. It is easily recognisable from afar because there is a huge fibre glass sculpture on the front of it that kind of makes me think of a scene from the Pirates of the Caribbean films. This gives you an indication of the theme inside which is very much about pirates so great for kids. This is the thing too that i think makes this arcade a cut above all the others; t...Read More
