Iceland's largest church the Hallgrimskirkja dominates the Reykjavik skyline. It's a building that can be seen from all over the city, yet can seem hidden when you're near it. The best way to get the full impact, is go on foot from Skolavordustigur; how you perceive the details of the design, the colour and the construction continually change as you get nearer the church. Hotel | "Budget Rooms in Reykjavik"

Quote:
Fosshotel has two hotels in Reykjavik and others around Iceland. Fosshotel Lind can be found on the edge of 'downtown Reykjavik'. You can walk to the heart of the city in ten minutes. On the surface the rooms at Fosshotel Lind look fine if boring; a painting provided only a glimmer of colour in our room. The look is Scandinavian with light laminate flooring, white walls and plain white bedding. The room could have mooked more homely. There should ahve been curtains as the blinds were inadequate. Electrical sockets are in the wrong places and you will have to move furniture to boil the kettle or charge your camera or computer. We were pleased for the kettle and teabags however...Read More
