My sister moved to Nottingham in September to start a law degree and as we are close it was quite a shock to the system for me. We said we would try and get together when we could and so my cousin and I went down to Nottingham for a night out with my sister and her friends back in November last year. This is my review of the club and our night.Ocean can be found at Greyfriar Gate, Nottingham NG1 7EF. Tel:(0115) 941 1941. They do have a website which is easily found by googling Ocean Nottingham but there isn’t a massive amount of information on there really. From the off it is important to note that Ocean is a student venue in Nottingham. Obviously I am not a student bu...Read More

When my sister moved away to Nottingham to start her law degree we made plans to go and visit her both for a night out but also with my son as he would miss his auntie moving away as well. Early in November 2012 my son and I took the train to Nottingham to see her and on the Sunday before we had to go and get the train to return we went to Pancakes and more in the Victoria shopping centre for a brunch type meal. This is my review of the establishment. ==Where is it?==Pancakes and more are situated in the Victoria shopping centre in Nottingham and is on the ground floor there. I am sure there are those "where am i?" posters inside the shopping centre but we entered the centre...Read More

Nando’s is probably my most favourite place to eat. What I love about Nando’s is the fact that no matter where I go the quality seems to be pretty much the same and I am familiar with the eatery and so feel comfortable there. When my son and I went to visit my sister in Nottingham we went to one of the Nando’s in the city centre for our evening meal and the restaurant we visited was the one on 12 Angel Row and this is my review of there.**What is Nando’s and what do they do?**Nando’s is basically a Portuguese style restaurant which offers mainly chicken but some vegetarian options as well along side their peri peri sauces to give it a bit of a kick. Starters at Na...Read More

My sister moved away to Nottingham in September to start a law degree and so in early November 2012 my son and I went down on the train to spend some time with her. We decided to go to the cinema whilst we were down there and so we went to Cineworld which was actually all of our first experiences with a Cineworld as where we live there are mainly Vue cinemas with the odd Odeon thrown in as well.==Where is it?==Cineworld is situated in the Corner House in Nottingham where there are various eateries and things so it is pretty hard to miss really and I am sure people could direct you if you were feeling a little lost as well. There are plenty of taxi’s round near the Corner Hous...Read More

My sister moved to Nottingham in September as she is doing a law degree at their Trent University and so one weekend my cousin and I went down to see her and to have a night out with her and her University friends. We decided that as we arrived in Nottingham around 3pm that it would be a good idea to head out for some tea and line our stomachs before a night of drinking and so after wandering round Nottingham for a little while we decided to go to the slug and lettuce at the Corner House as it was somewhere that we had never tried before. This is my review of it.==Where is it?== The restaurant is situated in the centre of Nottingham and there are various eateries around so it...Read More
