We are normally not the kind of people that go into a bar for a drink but as it was nice weather and the streets were full of life we decided to go into a bar. The bar we found looked busy and nice enough with normal tables and even some tables outside. Because of the nice weather the seats outside were already taken so we had to go inside.Inside was a really good atmosphere with relaxing music which wasn’t too loud so you could actually hold a conversation with each other. The bar was quiet large and they had three staff members serving everybody. Considering the size of the place i thought that was a bit on the low side but maybe they hadn’t anticipated that it would be this busy....Read More

Parkbad, Bäderland Hamburg

Attraction | "Going for a swim at the Parkbad"

The Parkbad is located in the popular village north east of Hamburg. It borders of Schleswig Holstein. By car it is easily accessible via the B 75th. Since it is quite small but the Parkbad is located in the center so it is not hard to miss. Just as easily you can reach it with public transport. It is 2 to 3 minutes walk from the subway station behind the church. At the station you can also take the bus lines 24, 174 and the 376th. The pool is open all year through. With some exceptions, including Sundays and holidays. I want to save me the long list of prices and the prices just call it a day. Of course there are groups and season tickets, which are cheaper. These can be found on th...Read More

Attraction | "A church worth the visit"

There are some great churches in Hamburg. A few weeks ago I had to be in the city of Hamburg. When I entered the hall I've regretted this decision almost. It was almost dark and cold. On the dark walls hang a few plaques and a small shelf with information. I almost walked out, but the light that came through the door to the nave in the hallway almost pulled me in. So I entered. Now I was in the south aisle which seemed very bright and powerful. On a semi-circular desk sat a woman who was reading something. Insecure I went to her and asked if this was an evangelical church. She said yes and asked if I would like to enter. After I told her why I'm there, she handed me a candle, which I had s...Read More

Attraction | "A great musuem to visit!"

Quote:
Many believe that Hamburg is a large and noisy city but Hamburg has so much more to offer. The north-east of Hamburg is still a little, quiet and almost rural. As the name suggests, it is a museum. But not in the conventional art but in the form of a village. The correct term is open-air museum. The beautiful location next to a small woods and parkland with a lake makes it a special destination that can already take several hours to complete. Who wants to spend all day here, the village offers people a bog pool, an indoor swimming pool with sauna, outdoor pool and whirlpool. There is also a cinema, several playgrounds and pond meadows, for a nice long walk. It is always o...Read More

In front of the restaurant is sufficient parking available and there is also a bus connection. From the street it is easy to find. The inside is quite cozy, designed simple table decoration with candles and napkins. In the summer there is outdoor seating. Music is sometimes played - but sometimes not. All in all it is very clean and well maintained - even the toilets. One is immediately made to feel welcome. The staff really funny and have fun with their work there. Small extra wishes they meet immediately and at a birthday, for example, there is an ice cream on the house. The time between starter and main course is also ideally suited, you have exactly in between time for a toilet or a cig...Read More
