Restaurant

Visiting my friends is always a treat and not only because they are such a super bunch of great people but they also take me to such a great restaurants. My last visit was a brief one but they still managed to take me to this great restaurant. They have been here just a few times before but, this restaurant is still a relatively new restaurant. It’s one that’s quite popular and a reservation is advised. It’s located just outside the city center and is about 10 minutes walking from the main square. We arrived with the car and found just one parking space so we were quite lucky. And since the weather was horrible and raining really hard, we were actually really lucky being parked so close to ...Read More

When you enter the hotel of Bastion in Utrecht you feel right at home. It’s a typical Bastion hotel with a modern but homey feeling to it. When you enter you can see straight away the internet facilities with two computers which you can use for free to surf the internet. It always appears to be busy here. Further on you have several seats in the lobby where you can order a drink. Everything looks very comfortable and nice.Behind the reception you have two staff members who look ok but they are not really standing there with a big smile. They are friendly but you don’t ask you if you familiar with the area or anything. A shame because for me it makes a big difference. I have made a reservat...Read More

The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Utrecht and near the city of Maarssen. It is easily accessible by car with the highway between the cities of Utrecht and Amsterdam. The hotel is easily accessible by public transport since the bus stop is just around the corner and within thirty minutes you are in the city of Utrecht. The nearby city of Maarssen is only ten minutes away.It is a four star hotel. The main hotel building was built in a pyramid shape. The two arms that are attached are the part of the building were the rooms are. The building looks every interesting. The parking is free for guests. There are three types of rooms that you can book. There are Superior, Deluxe ...Read More

The hotel is not really in a special environment. When you are facing the entrance you have the idea that you are in a residential area and when you look at the other side of the hotel out of a window see a busy road. Not so special view but sometimes that’s not really what you are there for. It is close to the A2 highway so I think the hotel is easy accessible with the car. When coming with public transport it’s a bit far from the central station so you better get a taxi especially when you have a suitcase with you. When coming with car there is more than enough parking space at the hotel for you to park. I found it regrettable that the description said it was 10 minutes’ wa...Read More

The domtoren can be seen from all over the town of Utrecht. When you enter the town you will notice the tower straight away. Right in the middle of the town this tower is located and it has been there for hundreds of years. We have actually been a few times to this town as it’s centrally located in the country of The Netherlands. It’s about 30 minutes from the main capital Amsterdam.Utrecht is a large city with around 1 million people living here. The town isn’t overally popular with tourists as most just visit Amsterdam. The town is really worth the visit as it’s a medieval town with beautifull historic buidlings and squares. Just outside the town you can visit an old palace and castle. N...Read More
