Attraction | "Expensive but some amazing creatures to see "

Quote:
Blackpool is one of those places that is fantastic for kids and adults alike but it is so expensive as everything there seems to cost money to do. The SeaLife centre is a great place to visit but I do think it is expensive especially if you have a large family that you have to pay for. Even with just myself and the kids I thought it was a bit steep. The centre has a fantastic selection of creatures to see and should fascinate both kids and adults alike with the range of unusual creatures to see. There were several there that I had never even heard of and I loved seeing them up close as although some were the types of creatures I might be petrified if I ever saw them up close in the w...Read More

Restaurant | "The Best Fish and Chips in Blackpool"

Quote:
I love sea food but unfortunately my children not so much. One thing that we both can agree on however is that we love some fish and chips occasionally. I had read about The Cottage and how they did the best fish and chips in Blackpool so I was curious to visit and see for myself. The Cottage fish and chips restaurant is located a little bit from the Promenade but is easily walkable from the centre. The restaurant does both take away and sit down meals but be prepared to arrive early if you want a table as it is very popular and the restaurant doesn’t take booking so is on a first come first served basis. We got there around about 5 and luckily we managed to get a table s...Read More

Madame Tussauds Blackpool

Attraction | "Fun for all the family "

Quote:
Madame Tussauds in Blackpool is a fantastic attraction and one that the kids and I both enjoyed visiting. In fact we enjoyed it so much we have been twice now. Entry to Madame Tussauds costs around about £15 for adults and £12 for kids but like most of the attractions in Blackpool there are deals to be had and if you buy the tickets online in advance then you can save money as well as being able to buy combined attraction tickets with other attractions. If you are visiting in the summer when it tends to get busy then the fast track ticket is a good idea which allows you to bypass the main queues and go through a special dedicated one. The Madame Tussauds in Blackpool is very Br...Read More

Ripley's Believe It Or Not

Best Of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Weird and wonderful"

Quote:
Ripley’s Believe it or Not was somewhere that my son really wanted to go visit as one of his school friends had been and liked it and my son has a couple of Ripley books. My daughter and I weren’t too keen to visit but we agreed he could pick something for us all to do. Although initially sceptical that I would like it I ended up thinking it was a fantastic attraction and one that I would actually be happy to visit again. It costs £12 for adults and £6 for kids to visit but we had found a voucher in another attraction which gave us a significant discount. I think the full prices are a little on the expensive side but then again everything in Blackpool is expensive to visit and at least thi...Read More

Blackpool Illuminations

Best Of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Magical for kids and adults alike "

Quote:
Blackpool illuminations really do have to be seen to be believed. They are absolutely spectacular and if you can manage to visit Blackpool when they are on it really is worth going and seeing them for yourself. The lights as they are more commonly known run from the end of August until early November for exactly 66 days. The lights have been in Blackpool since 1879 and each year they get bigger and better. The illuminations stretch for more than 6 miles along the promenade and over one million light bulbs are used each year. They are a riot of colour and an explosion to the senses. We went and seen them this year and although we have been before they never fail to impress me. ...Read More
