Mozart's Residence

Attraction | "A place you have to visit"

Who doesn’t know about the music genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart? He has been born in the city of Salzburg, Austria. The house where he lived is still there for people to explore. Although I’m not a fan of classic music and don’t I know really anything about it, I still wanted to visit the house when we were there. I think it’s certainly something that you will have to visit when in Salzburg. The house isn’t the house where he was born and is just located in the city center a few minutes’ walk from the main Makartplatz and therefore very easy to reach. Since it’s such a famous house everybody in Salzburg knows this house so just asked and I’m sure everybody can guide you to the building....Read More

For many years we have been travelling to Vienna and every time and every time we discover something new. It’s simply a gorgeous city with wonderful people, restored gardens, changing exhibitions, the palace but of course also lots of restaurants and shops. Due the excellent public transport in the city a week card costs only 14 euros and you can travel from one to the other end of Vienna. Located near the United Nations headquarters, in addition to extensive parks such as the Danube Park, with the Danube tower, from which one has the upper rotating platform with a cafe and a wonderful view over Vienna. The hotel building has 18 floors and is very well soundproofed, so that neither i...Read More

If you drive to Graz you will see the Schlossberg which can’t be missed by anyone who visits the city. The Schlossberg naturally belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The castle hill is 475 meters above sea level, however, Graz itself is already 353 meters above sea level, so the mountain does stand clearly out, but also not as high as you might think at first. Looking from the main square the mountain looks yet powerful and high. The emergence of the Graz Schlossberg is a legend. Thus it is said to be created by the devil himself. The Grazer had asked the devil to increase one of their mountains and as a reward he was to receive the souls of those who climb the mountain first. Worth k...Read More

We've been here 3 times. At the beginning we liked it because of the spa facilities. I think about 10 years ago the hotel was a little more expensive than now (but that's just my impression). The various buildings are connected by an underground passage. This is actually quite attractive and well made. Located in the courtyard of the complex is a small cottage, which turned out to be the reception. From there down the steps one arrives immediately in this underground system. The rooms are normally set up, so nothing special to report what could be outstanding. Only that there is a building that is obviously older and already at this old house entrance there is a musty smell. Luckily in the ...Read More
