Ripley's Believe It Or Not

Attraction | "Weird and wonderful"

Quote:
Ripley’s Believe it or Not was somewhere that my son really wanted to go visit as one of his school friends had been and liked it and my son has a couple of Ripley books. My daughter and I weren’t too keen to visit but we agreed he could pick something for us all to do. Although initially sceptical that I would like it I ended up thinking it was a fantastic attraction and one that I would actually be happy to visit again. It costs £12 for adults and £6 for kids to visit but we had found a voucher in another attraction which gave us a significant discount. I think the full prices are a little on the expensive side but then again everything in Blackpool is expensive to visit and at least thi...Read More

Big Blue Hotel

Hotel | "A real family friendly hotel"

Quote:
I take the kids to Blackpool for the weekend quite regularly and although we usually stay in b&b’s we have also stayed at The Big Blue Hotel. The reason we stayed here was because I got a really good deal on a family room on the internet. I paid £80 per night for the room which I thought was really good value especially considering that the hotel was four stars. The hotel is the best located hotel in all of Blackpool when it comes to visiting the Pleasure Beach as it is literally right next to the Pleasure Beach and so it is convenient for all the attractions along the sea front. It also has direct access to the Pleasure Beach for the first 90 minutes of opening meaning that if you buy...Read More

Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Attraction | "Fantastic fun for kids and adults alike "

Quote:
When we visit Blackpool the main attraction for the kids is always the Pleasure Beach. For me there are a lot of rides that I might have enjoyed a few years ago but now no longer have the stomach for but the kids absolutely adore them. I much prefer the more sedate rides but luckily for me there are plenty to choose from at the park. Entry to the Pleasure Beach isn’t cheap but it does work out better value than a lot of other theme parks out there. The last time we visited I paid £60 for 3 unlimited ride wristbands online which I purchased in advance and it worked out cheaper than buying them on the day. The prices are different depending on what time of year you visit. Opening times vary ...Read More

Blackpool Tower

Attraction | "Spectacular views from the top"

Quote:
Although the Pleasure Beach is the kids favourite place in Blackpool mine actually has to be the Tower. The iconic Blackpool Tower may not be as pretty as the one in Paris but it has its own charms and it is especially dramatic against the backdrop of the usually grey skies in Blackpool. I also like the fact that it acts as a focal point and can be seen everywhere in the town so that if we get lost we can always find out way again. Visiting the tower really is something that you should do if you are in the town for a visit as it is such a good experience and the view from the top of the tower is spectacular. It isn’t the cheapest thing to do especially if you have a family but it is someth...Read More

Madame Tussauds Blackpool

Attraction | "Fun for all the family "

Quote:
Madame Tussauds in Blackpool is a fantastic attraction and one that the kids and I both enjoyed visiting. In fact we enjoyed it so much we have been twice now. Entry to Madame Tussauds costs around about £15 for adults and £12 for kids but like most of the attractions in Blackpool there are deals to be had and if you buy the tickets online in advance then you can save money as well as being able to buy combined attraction tickets with other attractions. If you are visiting in the summer when it tends to get busy then the fast track ticket is a good idea which allows you to bypass the main queues and go through a special dedicated one. The Madame Tussauds in Blackpool is very Br...Read More
