Mussol ArenasBarcelona is truly for me one of the best cities in the world. I love the fact that the city offers almost everything what a person can expect of a city. Barcelona has a great nightlife, shopping oppurtunities, cultural activities, a beach and lots more. Of course the warm weather doesn’t hurt either.I think almost a must for every tourist to see are the magic fountains located at the Plaza Espanya square which is just on the outskirts of the city center. I think it’s around five minutes with a taxi from Plaza Catalunya and around the same with the metro. The square is easy to reach and the magic fountains are literally just 5 minutes walk away. Located on the squa...Read More

Barcelona is a city which you only the best by walking past the streets and parks and enjoying the people and the surroundings. The beautiful old streets with the large buildings are really interesting to look at but also the beautiful large parks were you can relax. With all the walking and sightseeing of course one gets hungry and for lunch we decided to go at La Bodegueta del parc.La Bodegueta del parc is located at Pg. Pujades 21. The restaurant is just near the city park which is worth at look. Just cross the road and yo...Read More

Montjuic hillOur second day we started off well with first having breakfast at our apartment. We bought fresh baquette and other kind of bread at the local supermarket and made sure we were full with breakfast before heading out into town. We wanted to see Montjuic, a well known mountain located in the city center of Barcelona were they hold the Olympic games in 1992.The mountain can be reached by metro, bus and of course by taking a taxi.Be advised when taking the metro or bus that you will have to walk still quiet a bit. When going with bus or taxi it’s a great oppurtunity to visit the Olimpic stadium which is only a few minutes away. From the busstop and metro stop you can t...Read More

The second day of our trip in Barcelona was full with activities as in going to the Montjuic hill and even going to the beach. It’s one of the things I love about Barcelona is the fact that you have a variety of activities. You can go and visit a old castle, beautiful parks, shops, museums or sit hang around the beach and enjoy a drink on one of the many terraces that you can find in the city. After a long day of walking we decided it was time to go for a drink at one of the many bars at the beach. We first wondered around the beach first and enjoyed the many people doing different kind of sports. The beach of Barcelona lies in the area of Barcelonetta and can be reach by bus and metro. A food market isn’t normally that impressive in most cities. But when in the city of Barcelona one simply must visit La Boqueria. The food market is located right near the famous La Rambla. It’s not that difficult to miss and because of its central location it’s for most tourists just a short walk.Spanish people are vibrant and colorful people and this is something one person will find here. There is a great atmosphere here at the market that’s filled with all kind of food, international and local food. You can find meat, fish, fruit, vegetables and every kind of ingredients. I love the little stalls from fresh fruit and the Spanish ham. Of course the delicious stalls with sweets and choco...Read More
