At six thirty the alarm off, because Disneyland opens its gates at eight o'clock. The trip to Disneyland takes about a good half hour from the hotel and the airport. The morning was still in full swing. So we do have several times been in the traffic jams. Arriving at Disney was seeing the biggest Parking space lot of I have ever seen. It’s a parking garage 6 floor high, well no panic in not finding a parking space.Trains take you to the entrance of both parks and Downtown Disney. Once through the checkpoint we had security check at one of the many ticket booths where one of the many elderly women to speak to us and therefore making some needed money next to her pathetic state pension. In America you have many separate lakes. One is Mono Lake, located in California. This lake is more than one million years ago. During my trip to America I have seen Mono Lake.Mono LakeMono Lake is located in California, near the town of Lee Vining and Highway 395. Mono Lake is one of the oldest lakes throughout North America. Particularly striking are the limestone towers on the shore of the lake. These are also called Tufta's. In the lake are two islands with a volcanic soil. These islands are called climate Island. The Negit Paoha Island in Mono Lake may reach over 35 degrees in summer. In winter there is a lot cooler.Origins of tufta'sThe water of Mo...Read More

Attraction | "Biking Across the Golden Gate Bridge!"

The Golden Gate Bridge. This must-see that deserves attention, so this is it! When we where touring through America it was something we just wanted to see while being in San Francisco. It’s always something you see and hear about on television and is of these things that you need to see it for yourself. BackgroundThe Golden Gate Bridge connects San Francisco with Marin County. In 1916 a proposal for the construction of the bridge was launched, but it took until 1937 before the bridge officially opened. At the time of deployment it was the longest suspension bridge in the world. Today the bridge is still a very respectable ninth place and is the second longest suspension bridge ...Read More

When visiting America one of the trips that stood out for me was a visit to the Six Flags Magic Mountain. It was something I always wanted to go since I read stories about it and have seen it on television. It also seemed like a great break from the more cultural things on our trip. We have been at the one in Europe and of course wanted to see the difference of the one in America. The entranceSix Flags is well known over the western world and I think this one is the most famous. The park has some fairly unique roller coasters that we wanted to visit. We were recommended to book our tickets online and this way to got a 50% discount! Certainly not bad and you don’t have to stand i...Read More

Starbucks

Restaurant | "Going to Starbucks"

Starbucks has been around for many of years and really put themselves out there as the number one coffee brand. Not only in America but troughout the world more and more Starbucks coffee shops are opening. The dark green logo is truly an integral part of most American cities and thus one to visit when you are on holiday.Although it suprised me to see a Starbucks outside of America a few years ago, now it’s certainly nothing new. You can go to Bangkok or Amsterdam and find several in the city. What I love is that the staff has to speak English and the menu is mostly the same. Also the way they prepare the coffee is the same, guarantering the quality of the coffee which is very important....Read More
