On my last trip to the U.S., I found myself in a small town Solvang. About 200 km away from Los Angeles. My tip for the day would be: Visit this tourist town. It was built by Danish pioneers who have kept their roots intact as possible, both in the construction of the houses and the various trades that they perform. So there are Danish restaurants, bakeries, carpentry workshops in old half-timbered houses and even old wooden windmills. Of course we have tried to find a hotel in the old Danish style. The entranceThe reception consists of marble but it looks very nice and professional. The staff is very friendly. Then you look around and you see nice luxurious chairs where y...Read More

Yosemite Pines RV is a place where you can camp. There is room for RV's, as well as tents. We have spent three nights here during our trip in AmericaThe locationYosemite Pines RV is approximately 30 minutes drive from Yosemite National Park. The campsite is situated on a fairly open spot, but with all woods nearby. There is a small town nearby, named Groveland. Here you can find the necessary shopping. You also have the possibility to refuel, which in Yosemite National Park itself is very difficult. The accommodationYou can go to this camp with a tent or RV. For groups with more tents there are several options available. Apart from pitches, you can also s...Read More

In California you can visit abandoned miner villages. This village is a Bodie, also called a Ghost Town, many of which are found in America. Bodie has approximately 200 homes and is the best preserved ghost town in the United States.Where's Bodie?Bodie can be found in California, near Mono Lake and the town of Lee Vining. The town is approximately the height of Yosemite National Park. The access can be found at the U.S. 395, about 17 miles from Lee Vining and 7 miles away from Bridgeport. The road to Bodie the last part is unpaved. Be careful here not speeding and pay attention especially well with bad weather, because the road is poorly passable.Admission and openi...Read More

More often I seek for more adventure and experience when i go travelling. I ask myself what’s different at this place compared to the other places I have been. What kind of restaurants do they have here and what do they eat? How do the people here spend there time? The last type of experience took me to a pastry shop in Maryland. It’s located in the downtown area and being active for over years this shops specialises in pastries. How does one find such a shop? Well I was intrigued by what I saw from the outside looking in and I’m a big fan of pastries. Normally I wouldn’t even walk into a local store like this, but I asked myself why not? When you enter the shop you will see the ...Read More
