Schlosshotel im grunewald hotel is a hotel were we stayed a few years ago. We love our little weekends away and we always try to do one each month. It doenst mean we have to go far away and sometimes a few towns away is good enough. It’s often more the idea of being away. We founded this hotel trough the internet and were able to get a good deal to stay two nights during the weekend. I think normally this hotel would have been a little bit too expensive for us otherwise. This is a five star hotel and it’s something you can tell the minute when you arrive. It has porter service but also the entire hotel from the outside and inside looks very expensive. The location of this hotel is about fou...Read More

Alpincenter BottropAlpin Center Bottrop is an indoor slope just near the border of Germany in the industrial city of Bottrop. With a "unique" (or at least uncommon) ticket for a price gives you access to both ski and all food and beverage and equipment hire, makes it a great destination for a moment of winter feeling or just simply for skiing or snowboarding.Meanwhile I have the Alpine Center visited twice: once in the winter (mid February) and once in the spring (11 April 2010). My review is mainly based on the last visit. I am an intermediate snowboarder, but I went to the alpincenter with two absolute beginners. We arrived late in the morning (10:30 hours) and late afternoon...Read More

In the short break we have had in the village of Cochem, a German town near the river, we included the historic mill mustard for a visit. For me as a non-mustard fan, it was a very interesting visit and I'll tell you why below.HistoryThe historical mustard mill in Cochem is one of the oldest mustard mills in Europe. Mustard is made here since 1800, where they can make an amount of 360 KG per day. In order to make them crush the mustard seeds between heavy millstones. In the mustard seed are among other essential oils, and they remain so well preserved. Attraction | "wildlife park Duane"

Quote:
In my holiday I was very busy with working at my house but luckily the last week I spend on going away to Cochem in Germany and visited the wildlife park Duane. Location & accessThe park is tucked away and on a mountain, but it’s not hard to find. From where we were it is well signposted so it was easy to find with car. When you arrive, well you don’t really need a parking space because you will drive trough the park with your car. The only place you have to park your car is when you want to visit the monkeys and the falconer. What to expectAn 8km route through the habitat of Lamas, Alpaca’s, Deer, Hogs, Horses, Muffles, Yaks etc. Theirs is also a 80...Read More
