The wonderful hotel San Roque is a beautiful hotel were we stayed during our little trip to Tenerife. Tenerife is a beautiful island and certainly worth a trip when you are looking for a great beach holiday. The island is also great for some sightseeing and culture. The hotel lies in the heart of the Isla Baja lowland and when you walk towards it you can just see the beautiful paved streets of the little city and the port of Garachico. The city is located at the north west of the island and is surrounded by natural swimming pools. The surroundings is truly beautiful and very relaxing. This hotel comes with a lot of history and has been there for a few hundred years already. It’s a very sma...Read More

Santa CruzSanta Cruz is located on the east coast of La Palma, one of the Canary Islands. The city has about 18,000 inhabitants. It is situated on the Atlantic Ocean. The city has a large port, with regular big cruise ships docks. There is also a beach, along the edge of town.ParkingParking can be quite a problem, once you arrive later in the day. When you approach the city from the south, there is a parking lot right along the coast. When we arrived there was a proper mess. Arriving on the parking lot wasn’t a problem but getting off was horrible. There were a lot of cars looking for a space and lots were driving the wrong we. Eventually we managed to leave the parking l...Read More

IntroductionWe went two weeks this year to La Palma, and had two fully booked private homes. Arrival at the houseUpon arrival at the airport we got with a car rental at the house. We had detailed directions to the house and there was also a clear road map attached. The letter stated about what time you expected in the house. There you are greeted by a woman who gives you a guided tour through the house and explains everything. Upon arrival there was a bottle of wine, a bottle of water and a fruit bowl of fruit awaiting us.The houseThe house is built against a mountainside. So therefore you have to do with height. There are also three different terraces. On the...Read More
