Naturally, the islands are a little more expensive than the mainland. We prepared ourselves. After renting a suite with a full kitchen, we decided to prepare for the week by grabbing a few groceries, where else......WALMART! We expected the prices to be a little more but $6.50 for a gallon of orange juice?!! As I said, be prepared because you can imagine what the final bill was. Also, bring your own bags, or boxes to carry your groceries in. Plastic bags are banned on Kauai, so you can either carry them by hand, or purchase a recyclable bag for $1 each. The first morning we decided to grab a local breakfast. After leaving the waterfall we decided to tour the infamous Kauai Coffee com...Read More

This place was the best resort we've stayed in by far. When we arrived we were greeted with traditional leighs (a year later my daughter still wears mine). The lobby is an open air lobby and is absolutely beautiful. We arrived at out suite and we were in awe! Every room in this suite was deserving of praise. The kitchen has marble counters and the refrigerator is built into the walls surrounded by oak. Stainless steel appliances and every thing you could possibly need in a kitchen. There was a full dining room that combined with the living room. The living room boasts a 50 inch television with great living room furniture. Although we requested a one bed room, they don't te...Read More
