Blackpool Pleasure Beach is situated at the very south of Blackpool, just a little further down than the Sandcastle Water Park. You can even see the Big One (the large rollercoaster) from the motorway on the way into Blackpool at the opposite end to Blackpool Tower! As we were planning the trip in advance I decided to use some of my Tesco Clubcard vouchers in exchange for a wristband is this worked out at £9.50 in vouchers for a £35 wristband. My brother purchased his wristbands online as this meant they were at a discounted price of ten pounds off! As we had done the bookings online it meant we had to go into reception to collect the bands and this meant queuing for around ten minutes. Wh...Read More

A few months ago my daughter and I spent a few days in Blackpool with my friend and her family from Brighton, this meant a few days of eating out! One evening I suggested we went to Frankie And Benny's which none of them had tried befoer so it was nice to introduce them to one of our favourite places to eat. Frankie And Benny's in Blackpool is situated on Festival Park Rigby Road, Blackpool, FY1 5EP which is very close to the South Shore Travelodge and Blackpool F.C. It is a little tricky to get to if you don't know the side roads of Blackpool very well so it's an idea to use the sat nav like I had to the first time we went!Frankie And Benny's is a 1950's style American/Italia...Read More

Blackpool is one of my favourite places (if not my fave) to go and manage to go several times a year. One of the attractions there is Coral Island, which is Britains largest amusement arcade - it is said that it attracts an unbelievable 4 million people per year!! Over recent years Coral Island has seen a major investment and it was totally revamped and refitted in 1999, and is now classed as one of the most modern and exciting arcades that caters for people of all ages.As you approach Coral Island, the first thing you see is a huge skull and pirate ship with CORAL ISLAND above in flashing lights. This may frighten young children initially as a pirate skull can appear a little scary. There...Read More

I am a massive fan of Blackpool, as much as people say its cheesy, dirty, expensive etc, i still love it there and go quite a few times a year. During my many visits, i had never actually been to the zoo there, and as a massive animal fan too i thought it was finally time to go - taking my daughter was the perfect opportunity to go!Our trip to the zoo - we planned our day out (me, my friend and our children) quite a few days in advance so we were both happy and disappointed when the day arrived and it was extremely hot - pleased as it was a lovely day to be out, but disappointed as we were dreading the amount of people that would be there. When we arrived we saw that we were correct about ...Read More

My daughter and I wanted a break during the nursery holidays and she asked to go to Blackpool. Initially I wanted to book a bed and breakfast but due to the bank holiday weekend everywhere was coming up expensive so I opted for Travelodge.I rang and a very helpful advisor was on hand to assist me in choosing the right hotel for what we wanted. As I was booking some time in advance the room was available on a flexible rate which meant it was just £19 per night. The downside of this however is that should you cancel you will not be refunded! I chose the South Shore Travelodge which is right next to Blackpool FC on Seasiders Way so it is very easy to find if you are unfamiliar wit...Read More
