The hotel has 5 stars and a total of 384 rooms and apartments. The simplest room is a double room in the main, but also a bungalow, bungalow junior suite, family room or bungalow or even a duplex can be rented. After the hotel was already booked we received a very friendly email directly to me in which I was thanked for the booking and how do I expect to arrive and leave. Upon arrival at the hotel waiting for us back some pleasant surprises, the luggage was immediately adopted, I got upgraded to a bungalow, we had a drink at check-in with a golf cart and we were brought to our apartments. My "bungalow" was a sort of apartment building, with another 20 or similar apartments. St. Michaelis is one of the two largest cathedrals (churches) in the city of Hamburg. It’s location is at the street of Englische Planke which is in the city centre. You can’t really miss the church with his height. The church looks really impressive from the outside with its large black tower. The best thing about this church is that you can actually climb all the way up!I was here with my family and we felt we had to do at least some cultural activity while we were in the city of Hamburg. The city is most known for its shopping and nightlife but it also has some great museums and other building. The St. Michaelis is perfect for having a great view over the city. When you enter...Read More

Not only for children because adults will love the miniatur wunderland too! This is a wonderful place where you can watch not only the area of Hamburg but also Switzerland, Austria, America and Scandinavia! You have to make a reservation beforehand because they only let a number of people in at the time. So when you so up without a reservation you have the risk that you will have to wait an hour. The Miniatur Wunderland entrance is actually on the third floor of an old building. The outside is impressive but the inside is less but industrial looking staircase. Luckily you do have an elevator. When you get on the third floor you have the entrance were you have a entrance for people with a r...Read More

We were in Hamburg for just a few days which I thought were long enough to really get a good impression of the city. Hamburg is good for shopping, nightlife but it’s also famous for the large harbour. The harbour is located just a few stops way from the city centre with the U-bahn. A single costs you around 1 euro 30. At the harbour you will find several companies offering a harbour tour.We choose the company which was first called Kapitän Prüsse. This company had a reasonable seized boat docked which was a bit old fashion which really helped with the atmosphere. We paid around 13 euro for an hour boat trip which is thought was a bit expensive for what it was. On the boat you have seats do...Read More

Right downtown at the water you will find this restaurant bar called the Alster Pavillon. Located at the more expensive area at the town with all the expensive shops, if fits right in with its expensive look. Even though it was a bit cold and windy the outdoor seating was still outside with terrace heaters and perfect for still being able to sit outside. So we decided to do so but after an hour it got a bit chilly. We didn’t hear of this place beforehand and walked passed and decided to go in. the outside looks really inviting with lots of glass and a stylish bar. A very modern look but still warm and cosy. Outside was of course a bit different story but the seats were nice enough and the h...Read More
