A July 2012 trip to Delray Beach by krazy4koreankimchi

Quote: We stayed at Delray Beach for 8 days and we loved it. It is close to everything. We drove to Miami one day, Key Largo the next, then Fort Lauderdale and Palm beach.

Dover House Resort

We stayed at this resort from July 14-21, 2012. We got it through our timeshare Geo Holiday. Though we arrived earlier (12 noon) than the expected check-in time (4 pm), our room is ready and we checked in. The people from the office are nice and friendly, explained the ammenities the resort offers and patiently answers all our questions and inquiries. When we got to our unit, it is smaller than what we are use to, but its neat and clean, and the decor are quite nice and not so "commercial-like" than other timeshare units. It is a one bed-room, one bathroom unit that accomodates 4 people, it has a small kitchen but has adequate appliances/furnishing. It is a cute and cozy place. We do not mind the "la...Read More

Having 2 kids (Girls) with us, we really enjoyed this place. We really had fun choosing our cupcakes because most of their names are derivation of a couture brand. My husband chose Jimmy Chooocolate, my daughter chose Berry Wang, my sister chose Cocoa Channel and for me, Red Valentino. The cupcakes are big (though they offer petite sizes), guaranteed sugar over-load, and the price is reasonable (atleast more reasonable than what we are use to here in Ontario). They also sell old -fashioned candies such as candy buttons and swirl pops. If you love sweets, then this is highly recommended.

Attraction | "Get closer with a Gator!"

Quote:
Since we love watching Swamp People, we cannot pass the opportunity to visit the Everglades and see an alligator or three in their natural habitat. There are a number of places offering attractions such as this in Southern Florida but we chose this in particular for it's price and it's proximity . For a standard 30 minute airboat tour + access to the animal exhibit their pricing was Adults: $19.50 + Tax Children (4-12): $10.00 + Tax Under 4: No Charge. They also have a $ 2 off Adult and $1 off Child coupon making it really very reasonable. Granted it is only half hour, but for us it is more than enough. Our tour guide, Captain Tim who is big and burly and really friendly taught us some alligator facts...Read More
