One of my fiancé and I’s favourite area of Port Aventura was the stunning Polynesia area. This is located just after the Mediterranean area at the start of the park and is extremely easy to find as the plant life becomes increasingly thick and exuberant with colourful flowers and luscious green foliage. At the start of Polynesia you can see the sign that welcomes you to this little bit of pure paradise. There are lots to see and do in this area of the Port Aventura Park including looking at the incredible waterfalls, plants and foliage, seeing some amazing shows, shopping and eating in the Polynesian themed shops and restaurants and of course braving the many rides. There are ...Read More

Mediterranean Lake- Port Aventura Photo, Salou, Spain

The first area within the Port Aventura Park is the beautiful Mediterranean themed paradise. This is the first part of the park that you really get to see and gives you a real feel of what you might see and be able to see and do whilst on your trip to Port Aventura. This part of the park is the quietest in terms of rides and attractions but has most of the shops and restaurants in the park.In the centre of this area there is a huge lake that is very tranquil with its stunning views and flowers native to the Mediterranean. This is added to by the authentic white washed buildings of the shops and restaurants. In front of the lake is a stage like area and here at certain times of the day you ...Read More

When staying in Salou, Spain, my fiancé and I decided that we would like to go to the famous Port Aventura park which was only a short walk away from our hotel. Port Aventura is essentially a very huge theme park with a magnitude of things to do and see. I call it a theme park however do not think that this justifiable as it is so much more. The park is very easy to get to from Salou with regular bus services, tourist trains or by walking there (the route is very simple and mostly flat). The park is quite expensive at €44 per adult (this was the price when we went in April, I would check the summer prices as these may be more) but there is a great deal where you can purchase a ...Read More

Whilst visiting Port Aventura during my holiday to Salou my fiancé and I decided that we would ride on the famous ‘Furius Baco’ as we had read many great reviews about the ride and had been told how good it is by my fiancé’s older sister who visited the park a year before. We went straight to Furius Baco when we entered the park as we knew that it would be extremely busy due to the fact that it is one of the more popular rides, also that day we noticed that a few of the other ‘big rides’ were closed so knew that Furius Baco would be very sort after. We arrived at the park just after it opened at 10 am and there was already a one and a half hours wait. We decided that we would wait as this ...Read More

Whilst on our trip to Port Aventura my fiancé and I were surprised by just how many young children and babies were in the park due to the amount of rides with height restrictions and themes that younger children may find frightening or may not understand. Whilst walking around we discovered the amazing Sesame street village. This part of the park is located just after the Polynesia area of Port Aventura and has a huge entrance that captures your attention and draws you in with its colourful and musical displays of the Sesame street characters. In the village there are ten rides designed specifically for families with young children, most required an adult to ride with their chi...Read More
