The Raven Cafe is a not-to-be-missed dining experience. Dining is at your leisure. You order at the counter and your meal is brought to you. Thick wood tables an chairs in front of the window, under the ravine or upstairs are available. Very near to the door are couch type dining for people with young children and there are toys for them as well. The people dining here primarily seemed to be locals, but what I found interesting was that they were from all walks of life. There was sweet looking older couple, the young gal with dread locks, the couple with young children, a man in a business suit and still others in shorts and sandals.A variety of coffee drinks and organic f...Read More

The Coffee Pot Restaurant is an institution in Sedona dating back many decades. The name is derived from one of the red rock formations name coffee pot. You can really see the pot from the location of the airport. The restaurant is comprised of three separate dining areas not including the covered patio outside and a good size gift shop that sells not only items relating to the restaurant or significant sites of Sedona but also cool, breezy skirts and shirts. This is a very popular restaurant and is open from 6a-2p. Motorcyclist find this a great stopping point while cruising around Sedona. The parking lot isn’t very large so it is advisable to come earlier or later than noon for lunch...Read More

We spent six hours round trip hiking the West Fork Trail outside of Sedona, undoubtedly missing the climatic point that should have made this a three hour hike. Looking back on the sketchy trail map we still couldn't figure out where the turn around point was. The trail is easy with some dusty stretches when the wind whipped through the canyon. The temperature was warm but not enough to want to immerse in the stream had there been a swimming hole but there are eleven creek crossings with cairns to indicate the way.The trek tantalizes several the body‘s senses. The scent of pines and other evergreens filled my nostrils. Solid yellow columbines and purple violets captured my peripheral ...Read More

Attraction | "Lake & Granite Hiking"

Watson Lake is a few miles away from Prescott and worlds away from city life. Heading north on highway 89 past the traffic circle turn right on Granite Dells Road to the parking lot where Flume Trail to the dam about 1.5 miles begins. From the dam, a short Over The Hill Trail connects with the 2-mile Lakeshore Trail.Flume trail is an easy to moderate hike with little rock navigating just under the dam. The path follows the crystal clear spring nearly the entire distance. The short dense fern on either side of the water seemed like a miniature forest of Norfolk Pines. Large boulders line the canyon sheltering the area. Reaching the dam, the reward of the mist was refreshing. Looking ...Read More

Willow Lake is a few miles outside of Prescott off the same traffic circle as Watson Lake except west in direction. A long expanse of marsh is the first thing you notice after taking the exit from the traffic circle. Small dirt parking lots are located frequently along this stretch as it is a very important birding area recognized by the Audubon Society. Several well-worn paths wind around the area.We continued to follow the road to the main entrance by the boat ramp to park and head off on one of the many trails. Paralleling the shoreline seemed to be a no-brainer. The bath tub rings around the lake indicated the water level was low so blazing a new shoreline trail was necessary....Read More
