Peachy Keens World Buffet

Restaurant | "World buffet!"

Not too long ago, I reviewed an all you can eat Chinese restaurant, May Sum, in Nottingham. In that review, I mentioned another all you can eat restaurant called Peachy Keens. My family recently came to Nottingham to see me and as everyone likes extremely different thing, I figured Peachy Keens would be a perfect place for us all. Peachy Keens is situated on Upper Parliament Street, only a minute further down the road to May Sum. From market square it will take about 5 minutes to walk here and from the train station about 20 minutes. Upper Parliament Street has great transport links with most of the buses stopping down here somewhere or another or very close to it. With Peachy Keens ...Read More

Pizza Hut

Restaurant | "A take out experience"

Quote:
As I was quite unwell on my first night staying in Norwich, my boyfriend and I decided to go and pick up some food from Pizza Hut, about a 15 minute walk away from the apartment we were staying in. On arrival, we didn’t really know what we wanted so we explained to a staff member that we wanted take out and he gave us a menu and a seat while we waited and decided. We didn’t get seen to again for another 15 minutes but the restaurant itself was pretty busy as it was around 8pm on a Friday night. Here, I should tell you that the take away menu is slightly different than the normal menu. A member of staff finally came over to take our order but before he did, he explained that he didn’t reall...Read More

Harvester

Restaurant | "Great if you love meat!"

On a recent weekend where my boyfriend came to visit, we decided to go out for dinner on a Saturday night to Harvester in Nottingham city centre. We didn’t quite anticipate how busy it would be though at 8pm. As we came up to the restaurant, we could immediately see people waiting for tables. After finding out that there was only a 20 minute wait, we decided to stick around and we only ended up waiting a little more than 10 minutes. A waitress led us to a 4 person table near the back of the restaurant, a little silly I thought considering there was only 2 of us and we didn’t need a table that big. While we had been waiting to be seated, we had both had time to look over the menu and decide...Read More

Chiquito Mexican Restaurant

Restaurant | "My first time at Chiquitos"

Quote:
On a recent trip to Sheffield to see my sister for her birthday, we decided to go to Chiquitos for lunch. Chiquitos actually wasn't our first choice of restaurant. We really wanted to go to Frankie and Benny's but there was a 40 minute wait for a table due to it being half term and the kids not being at school. As I don't really like spicy food, I had never been before but my sister assured me that there were plenty of other options available and that I wouldn't have to order anything remotely spicy if I didn't want to. The Chiquitos restaurant is a tram journey away from the city centre but it doesn't take long to get there, just get off at the Valley Centertainment stop where Cineworld and the arena...Read More
