This Hotel is located at the entrance of the "Etosha Wildlife Park". The hotel has 11 double, 3 single and 3 family units. It is run by a German/Austrian family. The restaurant is 1st class and in a private atmosphere. It is a place where you can relax after a dusty journey. The garden itself is unique - there is a small swimming pool where the local staff serves you as a king.

Incomparable to other national parks in the world (except Galapagos Islands maybe).

The national park area is about 22.000 km2-south and eastern entrances are good asphaltated-The Western entrance rather poor gravelelled. You will find 3 rather well equipped accomodations.(Okaukuejo(south)-Namutoni(east) and within Halali.Pay attention : max.speed in the Parks = 40 km/hr You can visit the waterholes during day and night-just be patient-the animals-from elephants to hyenas-are looking for water.

Namibia is a great spot in the continent of SA. One hundred years ago it was clearly a German colony. Actually, you can enjoy the magnificant desert and the unique Western coast.
Typical local transport Photo, Namibia, Africa
Quote:
The way of traveling in Namibia is very different - sometimes hard, sometimes luxurious, sometimes typically local. Notice that the main roads in Namibia are well paved, second roads are poorly gravelled - but anyhow - traveling in Namibia is an adventure. The best way is to hire a 4x4 shuttle - fully equipped with camping material.

But please enjoy the local transport as well.
