Marseilles is very quiet but big. What I mean by this is it doesn't have many historical features, but it is a very beautiful French city. They have a nice little marina where boats are docked. It has many cathedrals and it is very pleasing to the eye. The architecture and layout of the city is very appealing. There are many cafes located around the marina. They even have a merry-go-round in town. But the highlight would be the cathedral at the top of the hill, Notre Dame of Marseilles. I will explain in my other journal about it.
Quick Tips:
Camera, film & video. I would recommend a nice quiet day of walking and taking in the sites. Then have a nice lunch/ early dinner at one of the nice quiant cafes. Best Way To Get Around:
I would recommend walking around because it is very appealing to the eye. A taxi ride could have you miss all the scenery. Public transportation and taxis are available.
