Hotel | "Great for families"

This hotel was so amazing! I'm really picky about where we stay, and the last time we went to North Conway, the Inn we stayed at was terrible. I took a chance booking a bigger place, hoping they'd be more family friendly. Was I right!! This hotel is fantastic for families, but not so much for couples I would say. There were kids everywhere, which is ok, because we went with our toddler. However, if you're looking for a quiet getaway, or an adult only vaca, this might not be your best bet. If you're looking for a fun, clean, family friendly place then I'm telling you, you will not regret it! I will never stay anywhere else in North Conway again.

We went in summer of 2010, and about 10 minutes before we got there, they started charging for parking in the lot right outside the walking trail. They literally were nailing in the sign when we pulled up. I don't remember the cost, but it wasn't expensive. It was very unexpected however. Despite that the walk was fantastic. There is a well worn, wide trail with a few man-made steps leading up to a rocky path (there were people pushing strollers along the path. The last rocky bit at the end isn't too difficult to climb. My husband, daughter and I went to North Conway summer of 2010 and this is one of the places we had dinner. I ate the steak, my daughter had chicken fingers, and my husband had fish. All of our dishes were fantastic. Our waitress was so friendly and sweet. She made a cute contraption with chopsticks and rubber bands for my daughter to play with. We felt like friends, or locals. I would def. make a point to eat here again in the future.

During our 2010 visit to North Conway, this was one of the places I researched weeks before we left home. I was so determined to eat here that on a Monday night we stopped by and it was closed, and I made my husband take us back the night before we left. We were all very glad we did. The food was delicious, and the owner was sweet as can be. Another amazing experience in this great town.

We ate here one night during our 2010 trip to North Conway. Our daughter (3 at the time) is used to eat out fancy places, and she has very good manners. We have never once had a problem taking her out. However, I felt like the hostess and waitstaff automatically thought she was going to be a problem, and snubbed us. Instead of making us feel welcome and trying to help a nice family enjoy their visit, they treated us like we had a disease. There were only 3 tables filled in the whole place (it was a weeknight), and we were basically ignored. The food was fantastic and the man working the brick oven was super nice to my daughter. Attraction | "Super fun for the little ones..."

Story Land is a great amusement park for little ones, but over 6 and they would get bored with most things. My daughter was 2 the first time we brought her, and she loved it. She was 3 last summer when we brought her, and again, perfect. This year we went to Disney instead and she said "mommy, can we go to Story Land next year?" lol. While we love Disney, and plan to go back in a few years, I think it's better for the older kids. S.L is small, and not overwhelming for the little ones. Plus, there is a ton of shade, lots of places to sit, and the rides are not too scary or fast.
