Restaurant | "A little bit of Italy in Brighton"

Ristorante Donatello Photo, Brighton, England

Donatello’s restaurant is located in the heart of the famous Brighton Lanes, it can get quite confusing trying to find it as the lanes re very windy however if you keep walking to the centre you will eventually get to it!The outside of the restaurant is very pretty with hanging baskets brimming with colourful flowers. They have boards displaying any offers that they are running at the time. When you go in to the restaurant you can either be seated inside or out the front of the restaurant. Sitting outside is quite nice as the view through the lanes is very appealing and I like to people watch! The chairs though are quite small and get a bit uncomfortable and the tables are very small so I ...Read More

The Katarina Harvester

Restaurant | "Nice food and good value"

The Katarina Harvester at Brighton Marina is a really pleasant restaurant to eat at and one of my favourites in Brighton. It is located in Brighton Marina which is easily accessible by either bus or car. The last time I ate at this Harvester was Christmas with my family. My mother booked a table a week in advance which was lucky as the restaurant was very busy and people were waiting a long time for tables. When we arrived we were taken to our table upstairs. This was a big problem due to the fact that my Nan has trouble walking and they do not have any access to the top floor apart from the stairs. This meant that we had to help my Nan walk up as there were no tables downstairs available...Read More

Brighton beach is somewhere that I only enjoy to go to when the weather is not very good. This is because Brighton beach gets absolutely packed on a summer’s day; you can’t even put your towel down when it’s really hot!Brighton beach is located about a ten minutes’ walk away from the city centre and is next to Brighton Pier. The beach itself has large pebbles and is kept quite clean however sometimes there is glass and hot ash (left over from bonfires) so I would be inclined to keep my eye on young children. The sea is usually quite cold even in the summer and the sea can be quite rough, you should always take note of the lifeguard’s flags which tell you whether it is safe to go into the ...Read More

Attraction | "Come and have fun in the sea air!"

Brighton Marina is situated a short bus ride away from the city centre (number 7 from the city centre). It is also accessible by car; they have a huge car park with free parking which is really great. You can enter or leave the Marina at any time; they don’t lock it up as people live in some of the apartments there or on the boats. There are lots to do at the Marina; many people like to go on walks all the way along the arm of the Marina out to sea. This walk is really pretty as you can see the cliffs, boats out at sea and Brighton pier. You also walk past lots of boats in the docks and people fishing in the harbour. Fishing is another enjoyable activity that you can do at the Marina, I wen...Read More

Attraction | "Fun on the pier! "

One of the best places to visit in Brighton is Brighton pier at night. Brighton pier is situated on the seafront of Brighton about a 10 minute walk away from the town centre. The pier is open 10am till 10pm and is free to enter however everything else on the pier you need to pay for.During the day the pier is quite nice to walk up and look out to sea but Brighton pier comes to live at night. With its bright lights and fairground music, Brighton pier truly has a carnival feel about it. Even though it gets quite crowded it is still really fun. There are lots of food and souvenir kiosks up the whole of the pier, these are quote expensive but some souvenirs are quite pretty. There is also a fi...Read More
